Photos, finally

Here's the bracelet I made this weekend. Sorry the picture is so washed out, it was tough to get a decent photo without the flash. The colors are much prettier and the numbers more legible in person. Just take my word for it.

Here's a close-up of the charm. It's on a lobster claw clasp for easy mobility. As I explained in the last entry, the numeral represents the o'clock time, and the beads after it represent :15, :30, and :45, respectively. The picture below shows the bracelet set to 6:45.

Again, the silver is not tarnished, the lighting just made it look weird. The amethyst and the sterling silver is actually really pretty together! The little charm is a freshwater pearl.

I want Mike to try to solder the edge of the wire on the charm. It's a little pokey.

You can also move the bracelet from right to left to remember which breast to feed from next.

Jen, you could totally make these. They seem to retail on Etsy and other websites for between $20 and $40, so someone's making good money off of them!

And Kathy, come over sometime and we can put a bracelet together for you. I now have a bunch of numeral beads that I have no use for (I'm too lazy to sell things on Etsy). If you like some of my other beads it wouldn't take much to throw a bracelet together.

So yes, that was my highly productive weekend. Time well spent.

Your bracelet looks great. I agree, amethyst and silver are very pretty together. You did such a nice job. I hope you find it's really useful. Makes sense to me.
