Questions...answered!

Lately a few people asked questions in the comments, and I totally forgot to answer them (oops). So here are a few answers:

Alec - the family rule that Mike couldn't tell me was "Don't root for the Cubs."

Kite - I got a sunburn just on my chest because it's not an area that usually sees a lot of sun. The rest of my body had built up a (very slight) protective tan.

Kathy - I'm going to get a tattoo of the words, "Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace." It's the first line of the Prayer of St. Francis, which is really beautiful.

Kite again - I was in your state when I visited Ohio once with an organization in college. We were near the border and visited a factory that made blown glass figures and little statues. I don't remember much except people painting these really tiny figurines, and that I had a hangover.

This week we've been packing and packing. We got some boxes from my mom's work, but since she's a nurse at a nursing home they're all boxes for adult diapers. Nothing like making a great first impression on your new neighbors. We're moving in on the 18th, and I'll make sure to take a video or some pictures of our new place. I can't wait to be all moved in. Having some stuff in Milwaukee, some stuff in the new apartment, and lots of stuff in boxes just makes me edgy. I want to be finished.

Packing and having my things spread over several locations makes me edgy too. It wasn't that long ago... I feel your pain.

when we moved we had banana boxes (great for books because they pack in a lot of books without becoming unbearably heavy) and booze boxes (gotten from the local liquor board store). :) then we free cycled all the boxes and other people got to have the funny books.
